In this blog I will provide a track by track review of Chucky's 2014 E.P first providing a brief introduction to the artist. Chucky from Birmingham brings us a new project entitled the 2014 E.P. Chucky is a talented artist and earnt his name at the same time as Sox and other upcoming Birmingham artists around 2010. Chucky is known for his fiery flow and his willingness to clash featuring on WhosDaBoss (Series 1) and recently on Words Are Weapons against Militant from Higher Stakes.

1. Caged In
This track shows a side rarely shown by Chucky, to me he has always come across as a gritty and street MC. However he shows versatility in this track by showing a more emotional side to him and expressing hardships in his life. I was impressed by this track, it is well produced and overall a good start to the E.P.

2. Down Freestyle
The beat on this track sent tingles down my spine when I first heard it I swear down, the beat to me is inspiring and the track highlights Chucky's ambitions. It also reverts back to Chucky's more gritty side and the side he is known for.

3. Love Hate Relationship Ft. Alish and Emzi
Certainly something different, the vocalists aren't the strongest on this song but I like the concept of it, I can certainly relate to the track and Chucky holds it up well on this track. It seems this E.P is displaying different angles to Chucky and really showing versatility to his music.

4. Shot Caller Remix Ft. Reciver
Impressed by this I hadn't heard of the feature on this track but he holds it on the track with Chucky so props to him. Both artists flows on this track fit this and they definitely do the beat justice which can't be said the same for other artists who took on this beat.

5. Overthinking
This track is really deep, Chucky mentions having to provide for his family and as he says "analysing the way he's living". This is a clear self-review on his life and an ambition to change for the better through doing music rather than the hood lifestyle. Emotional track and strong hard hitting lyrics which make this track one to make you think about your own life.
