Izzie Gibbs |
Izzie is currently part of NNG which is a Northampton movement but also I believe still represents Invasion Alert although I haven't heard any material with him featuring on it from them yet.
Cadell |
Cadell hailing from Bow E3 has come through with the new wave of grime in London, he has developed his own team Truss Entertainment and despite being related to Wiley I don't think he has called on him to bring him into the scene. Cadell in his own right has earnt his position in the scene and definitely can spar with the best as his Hotline E.P is due to show revealing glimpses of it to the public. One thing I definitely like about Cadell is that he tries to fully rep the U.K in whatever he does, some artists try and bring in American style whether it be beats or flows but he has kept it authentic.
AJ Tracey |
AJ from the lane has to feature on this list, this guy is an absolute beast on the mic. I first noticed this guy on a set with Marger and to be honest didn't think much of it but he has certainly generated a hype for himself with his MTP (My Team Paid) crew dropping bangers like Spirit Bomb. When locking into radio I'll quite frequently hear AJ around grafting and squeezing off lyrics. AJ dropped his second E.P Alex Moran last year which was also a reason there was a buzz around his name.
Lyrical Strally |
Lyrical Strally or LS is part of the YGG collective and to be honest if I could I would put the whole team in the list because they are all set to have a good year. YGG has generated a buzz from shelling down radio shoes including Radar and Mode with the success of this leading to the release of two tracks "Okay" and the new "Don't Talk Like That". For me Lyrical Strally just edges it in terms of lyrical ability within the collective although again I could have put any one of the three in this list, the hype generated and the lyrics would make anyone get hyped and skank. In 2016 don't try LS...
Rawza |
Rawza alike with Izzie is part of NNG and is from Wellingborough, he was brought to my attention along with Rampage on a Rinse FM set that Izzie had brought them in. From the first set I heard Rawza spit on I knew there was potential there and some of you may be surprised he is on the list but check any set or track he is on you'll soon realise why. Rawza not only proved his lyrical ability on sets but also on a diss track he released for Statz following some internal beef that kicked off between the two artists. Rawza has been getting a lot of recognition from artists but not as much from the fans at this point however I think 2016 could be big for him.
